TaeGyeong Yoon was born in South Korea, and is currently based in Hong Kong and London.
Process, translation and critical perspective of the contemporary creator-as-explorer, the focus of TaeGyeong Yoon’s practice is based around the dynamics of socio-political as well as reflection of self, in relation to artistic methodologies that best represent the distinctive intention vs. preference in creative practice.
Working with materials varying across thread canvas embroidering to large-scale wooden or concrete constructions, TaeGyeong Yoon asserts importance of conceptual embodiment as well as fabrication of theoretical and visual expression through research as well as aesthetic decision-making processes.
